Smart patient bed

400+ sensors — temperature, humidity, pressure, motion — networked over inter-board CAN on STM32 in C++, with BLE and SD-card logging for live streaming and local backup, and results pushed to the cloud.

With that many sensors spread across a physical bed frame, CAN gave the system the noise immunity and multi-drop wiring a hospital environment demands, while the BLE link and local SD logging meant a dropped network connection never meant lost readings.
